About

About me

I have fond memories of childhood in this area; camping and canoeing with the 1st Felpham Sea Scouts, getting dressed up for the clown’s convention, day trips to Butlins and falling into the boating lake, learning to sail on the Arun River with the yacht club, and many, many more happy memories.

My parents chose this area for the local schools which are great. I went to secondary school at Bishop Luffa in Chichester and eventually moved away to University in Sheffield.

After university I lived in Oxford in 2003 and worked as an estate agent. I am confident that a year in an Oxford Estate Agent is equivalent to 10 years in a village estate agent. I worked with an amazing array of properties; inner city flats, luxury apartments, investment properties, large town houses with secret gardens, village properties with bomb shelters, idyllic cottages, and large country homes with estates.

The property diversity was matched by the diversity of the people and cultures I met. I lived and worked with a diverse ethnic community from all over the world, and quickly learned subtleties in diplomacy and negotiation. The strong lessons about excellent customer service and communication applied just as much to the Indonesian student nurses as it did to the CEOs and charity companies, and I treated each with the same dignity and respect.

Since then, I have worked in a number of Estate Agents (independent and corporate), and along the way trained as a Mortgage, Protection and Equity Release Advisor.

My wife and I decided we wanted to raise a family, and I could think of no greater place to do that than where we grew up, so we moved back to Arun and closer to family.

I furthered my career in local Estate Agency branches in Bognor, Chichester and Horsham, but felt unchallenged by the work, disenchanted by company politics and estranged from my new family. So, I started a successful business in property improvements and developments. I undertook and project managed a range of jobs, from minor home improvements to full refurbishments and extensions.

I then added a business in 2014, working as an Independent Mortgage and Protection Advisor on the New Leaf Network. In 2022 I discovered eXp, which has returned me to my first love -Estate Agency (aside from my wife of course!)

I am today a happy father of 2, a daughter and a son. I attend Church at St Marys in Felpham, and volunteer as a Leader at 1st Middleton-On-Sea Scout Group.
